Hong
Gao has extensive experience in printing, web & multimedia
design, fashion design and art education.
Born in an
artist family, Hong started to her scribbles of animals, pets,
fishes, birds, flowers and nature at early age. The exposure to
drawing and painting had generated her enormous interest and curiosity
to art through her youth life. With a dream of being an artist,
she later earned her Bachelor's degree from Suzhou Institute of
textile and silk design in China. She came to United States in
1992. In 1994, Hong received a Master's Degree in Studio Art with
GPA 4.0/4.0(minor in Graphic Design) from Eastern Illinois University.
She had her Art Exhibition in Tarble Art Center. One of her painting
- "Homesick" was published on the newspaper "Daily
Eastern News".
Hong has worked
in Graphic Design for three years and Web Design field for over
two years in US. She received training not only in HTML/CSS, JavaScript,
XML and ASP programming but also in Photoshop, Dreamweaver,
and Flash such other web related tools.
With many
years of working experience, Hong improved her technical, communication,
professional and educational skills. Now as a mother of two beautiful
kids, she is devoting her energy and all skills further to children's
art education. She is very enjoyable to instruct kids' drawing
and painting. "When I see my student's artwork, I feel happy
and accomplished. Not only they are getting more creative but also their skills and techniques are improved... ", she said.
